Our Collective Ideas
All of us at Collective Idea have shared our ideas separately over the years, but never with any form of consistency. We feel that it is time to be intentional about sharing our ideas as a company.
When we started using Ruby on Rails four years ago, the first Rails book had just been published. But the book was practically out of date the day it was published. The Rails community was moving so fast that print just couldn’t keep up.
The Rails community is open unlike any community I’ve ever been a part of. People doing new and cool things are eager to share their ideas, and those they share with respond with the same enthusiasm. Openness fuels progress.
We’ve benefitted immensely from others sharing their ideas over the years. Our individual blogs have given back as well, but often irregularly.
We hope that we will inspire you, and you will in turn inspire us.

I love the new site. I’m looking forward to what you have in store for the blog.
One small downside to the anchors with no underline…it wasn’t clear at first that “shared our ideas separately” was four different links. It’s a nitpick. Hope that helps!
Tim: Thanks for the feedback. You make a great point. I think underlined links are hideous. so I’ll look into other ways of making it more clear, or avoid putting multiple links in a row.
Is this is as close as Im going to get to the online guestbook I was promised? Also, I was under the impression there was ONLY ONE idea.
Site looks great and shines on a day where the entire internet is flat out annoying.
Good work, continue to rock.
