We’re thrilled to officially welcome Brian Hempel to Collective Idea today, but truthfully he’s been with our team for well over a year. Brian previously worked for IHS Web Design, in an office across a glass wall from us, where he has been frequently working with our team.

We’re excited for Brian to be helping and pairing with us more frequently. He’s already long impressed us with his ability to tackle difficult problems head-on and with great skill and pragmatism.

Brian graduated with a B.S. in Bioinformatics and Biochemistry/Molecular Biology from Michigan Tech, and has shown that he earned it when he’s jumped in to explain things like sort algorithims and advanced computation.

We’re looking forward to more of Brian’s can-do attitude, his smart open-source contributions, and his frequent programmer beard. Welcome, Brian!
