Being headquartered in Holland, Michigan comes with a few perks. We’re just a few miles away from Lake Michigan, our downtown is where all the tourists go to shop, and we have something called Tulip Time. Every year, toward the beginning of May, our hometown holds the famous week-long festival. Now in it’s 89th year, Tulip Time features over 5 million tulips, making it one of the top 5 tulip festivals in the world. There’s more than just beautiful flowers though, there’s a carnival, daily Dutch Dancing, delicious carnival food (elephant ears, deep fried Twinkies etc.) and a few parades.

There are several places to go in Holland to view various Tulip Time events, one of them being the street our office is on. Eighth Street, where our building is situated, is where all of the Dutch Dancing and parades happens. Since we’re on the fourth floor of our building, we have prime time seats to view the parades. This year, we want to share those prime time seats.

On Wednesday May 9 and Thursday May 10 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. we’re opening our office to friends and family to come co-work with us! We love sharing our space, so come bring your computer, hook up to our gigabit fiber internet, and work from a new location for the day. We’ll have coffee, donuts, and fruit available as snacks.

For lunch, our whole office will walk to the food trucks. We LOVE the food trucks that are around for Tulip Time. Our office favorite is the Italian sausage in a deep-fried bun. We’ll also occasionally dare one another to finish a whole helping of deep fried Oreos, so you’re welcome to take on our challenge if you want… or dare.

Aside from fast internet, food, and a swanky office space to work in, you can also view a few of the Tulip Time events right from our fourth floor perch. The events you can see from our office include:

• 1:30 p.m. - White Glove Inspection and Street Scrubbing
• 2 p.m. - Volksparade
• 3 p.m. - Dutch Dogs on Parade

Thursday, May 10

• 1 p.m. - Dutch Dance
• 2 p.m. - Kinderparade
